During the offseason, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are adjusting to life as a family of five.
Mahomes and Brittany welcomed their third child, a daughter named Golden Raye, on January 12. Golden joins big sister, Sterling Skye, 4, and big brother, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2.
Over the past five months, Brittany has kept Golden’s face away from the public. While the 29-year-old posted photos of the back of her head and stroller, fans never saw their daughter’s face.
However, Brittany and Mahomes debuted Golden with the world in new family photos on Thursday, June 12. They shared an album on Instagram and wrote, “What truly matters.”

In a recent interview with WHOOP’s Will Ahmed, the founder & CEO of the fitness company, Brittany spoke about the possibility of having another baby.
“Nope,” she answered. “We’re done. We’re done for a while. Three. I don’t know, I mean I feel like you can never like say you’re done, but I think three is all I need.”
The three-time Super Bowl MVP appears to be on the same page. During a press conference shortly after Golden’s birth in January, “We’ll see down the line, maybe,” Mahomes said. “But my goal was always three. So, we’ve had three. And we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
Right now, they’re soaking life with three young ones. “It’s cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how my other kids react to her,” he added. “Having baby sissy and stuff like that—it’s been a lot of fun.”

While the two-time league MVP and his wife have helped turn the NWSL’s Kansas City Current into a $275 million franchise, they also pitched brining a WNBA expansion team to the area. However, the league ultimately went in a different direction.
Speaking to reporters on October 31, Mahomes said his eldest daughter inspired him to bring another professional women’s team to Kansas City.
“I think, first, it’s just to showcase to my daughter, who I believe loves sports so far because everything we do, she wants to hit the baseball off the tee, she wants to play soccer,” Mahomes said. “I want to show that she can follow her dreams and make an impact in this world in whatever that dream is.”
“I’ve met players and women from other sports that I’ve kind of been around, including my wife — and show that they didn’t get some of the same things that I got coming up as far as the resources and the facilities and stuff like that. So, I want to give them those same resources, those same facilities.”
