Rumors surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding continue to grow after both Prince William and Andy Reid appeared to hint they could attend the couple’s big day.
The latest comments came during Prince William’s appearance on the U.K. radio program “Heart Breakfast” on May 22, where the Prince of Wales teased the possibility of receiving an invitation to Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs‘ tight end’s rumored wedding celebration.
Prince William Hints at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Wedding Invite
During the interview, host Jamie Theakston referenced reports about “a big wedding happening this summer” before asking Prince William whether he had received an invitation.
“Oh yes! Have you got an invite?” co-host Amanda Holden asked.
William replied, “No comment. I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
The royal’s comments quickly sparked more speculation surrounding Swift and Kelce’s wedding plans, although the couple has not publicly shared details about a ceremony date or location.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26, captioning the upload, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
During the same interview, Prince William also spoke about attending Swift’s Eras Tour in London in June 2024 alongside his children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
“How about some Taylor Swift?” William said when asked to pick a song for listeners.
“Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift,” he added. “We went to see her on her Eras Tour and it was amazing.”
William, Charlotte, and Prince George later met Swift and Kelce backstage during the concert, where the group took selfies together.
After the show, William publicly thanked Swift on social media for “a great concert.”
Swift later shared one of the backstage selfies on Instagram and wrote, “Happy Bday M8. London shows are off to a splendid start.”
Andy Reid Also Appeared to Confirm Wedding Invitation
Prince William is not the only high-profile figure fueling speculation about Swift and Kelce’s upcoming wedding plans.
During an appearance on “The Drive” on radio station 96.5 The Fan on May 14, Chiefs head coach Reid suggested he had likely received a wedding invitation from Kelce and Swift.
When host Carrington Harrison directly asked Reid whether the couple invited him to the wedding, the coach responded, “Well, I probably have. You know, I probably have.”
“And if I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going,” Reid added with a laugh.
Harrison joked that Reid should buy a brand-new tuxedo for “the social event of maybe our lifetime.”
“I’m not the show, I’m not the show,” Reid replied. “I’m just gonna show up.”
Reid also shared supportive comments about the couple’s relationship.
“Those guys, I’m so happy for ‘em,” Reid said. “When [it] really comes down to it, it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them. They’re in love and that’s the most important thing.”
The wedding speculation comes as Swift and Kelce continue drawing worldwide attention from both NFL fans and Swift’s global fanbase.
