At the very least, Puka Nacua and the Los Angeles Rams figure to begin negotiating the terms of the All-Pro wide receiver’s next contract this offseason. However, the two-time Pro Bowler also has telling plans for the more immediate future.

Nacua is coming off another strong regular-season campaign. Moreover, he showed up big in the playoffs, too, though still said he wished he had done more.

And yet, Nacua’s off-field activities are what have been grabbing the attention.

Puka Nacua Plans to Follow Through

Nacua went viral with his response to comments from actress Sydney Sweeney, saying, “[I] love skydiving,” in reaction to the Euphoria and The Handmaid’s Tale star’s remarks about being a “sporty girl” and wanting to enjoy that extreme activity with a special someone.

Nacua, sporting a new haircut that garnered plenty of attention on its own, revealed in an interview with Overtime Sports during the 2026 Pro Bowl Games that his shot hit its mark.

He was asked about several individuals, including Sweeney, and if he would skydive with them.

“I actually have reservations for us on Wednesday, actually,” Nacua said when asked about Sweeney specifically, adding that he was planning to wear the Meta sunglasses that he was sporting at the Pro Bowl during their supposed rendezvous.

Nacua also said that he would skydive with fellow Los Angeles stars LeBron James of the Lakers and Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers.

Still, his potential link-up with Sweeney was once again the attention-grabber.

As of February 3, Nacua’s response to Sweeney garnered over 19 million views, 209,000 likes, 9,000 reposts, and 6,300 bookmarks. It also drew attention from some of his peers in the pro sports world.

Green Bay Packers star edge defender Micah Parsons and veteran Los Angeles Chargers safety Tony Jefferson both made references to basketball/shooting one’s shot.

Puka Nacua Turns Heads Before Pro Bowl Games

Nacua also stole the show for another reason at the Pro Bowl Games. He borrowed Rams rival and San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle’s scooter. Kittle ruptured his Achilles tendon during the 2025 regular season and is using the cart to get around.

That is not why Nacua had it, though.

Instead, the Rams star cruised around the field, drawing cameras as he interacted with fans before, presumably, returning the device to its rightful owner.

All Eyes on Rams

Nacua is one of several contract situations the Rams could address this offseason. At the top of the list is securing quarterback Matthew Stafford for 2026 or planning to replace him if he decides to step away from the game.

The Rams could also look to extend defensive Kobie Turner, who, like Nacua, is extension-eligible this offseason.

Nacua’s payday will come.

The timing and terms will be particularly interesting for both sides, though. The Rams inevitably have to plan for life after Stafford. Maintaining flexibility through that phase will be mission-critical.

In the meantime, Nacua is making his mark on the football field for the Rams and making the most out of life when he is away from the game, too.
