Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell indicated that Kyler Murray’s hamstring injury is not something that should affect him when the team takes on the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. He also added that he would stick with the quarterback moving forward. This was reported by ESPN’s Kevin Seifert on Monday afternoon.
Murray has had an up-and-down season for the Vikings so far this year. Sunday saw him go 17-of-29 for 210 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. On top of this, he was sacked three times.
With that being said, O’Connell is going to be closely monitoring the quarterback’s injury, with a tough opponent in the Bills coming up.

Kyler Murray’s Struggles With Injuries This Season
The quarterback has struggled with the injury bug a bit this season. The season opener against the Green Bay Packers was the perfect example. The veteran suffered a concussion after taking a forearm-to-helmet hit. This caused him to enter concussion protocol and miss the first two games of the year. Fortunately for the Vikings, others were able to step up in the quarterback room.
Fortunately, the Vikings were able to have some productive veteran depth in the room. Carson Wentz filled in, while Murray was on the mend. He recorded a 1-1 record during that timeframe. That being said, his statistics were relatively impressive. He went 23-of-39 over the course of two games. The veteran threw for 276 passing yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

Vikings QB Will Be Worth Watching Next Few Days
There have been reports that the Vikings would not necessarily be averse to exploring the quarterback market. Kirk Cousins and Daniel Jones have both been names that have been mentioned. It’s clear that the Vikings need a lot more from the position. The question is how they are going to get it, and what the market is going to look like.
In the meantime, Murray will be nursing this hamstring injury at least for the next week or so. It will be interesting to see if he will be able to play on Monday, which should be an exciting game.
