Giants Image of Mara, Schoen & Daboll Turns Heads Amid Ugly Week 3 Loss

The New York Giants were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 22-9, and one week after Russell Wilson and the offense put on a show against Dallas, the same unit put together an embarrassing performance in Week 3.

In the latest NYG loss, the defense and rookie running back Cam Skattebo kept Big Blue in the game for a time, but the defending AFC champion Chiefs eventually pulled out of reach as Wilson and the offense sputtered.

Needless to say, the fans at MetLife Stadium quickly became disinterested, as did president and CEO John Mara and general manager Joe Schoen. At one point in the Sunday Night Football broadcast on NBC, the cameras showed a split screen of Mara, Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, all at once.

This image was then shared by popular Giants podcast “Talkin’ Giants” on X, and it gained a ton of attention among fans.

In the screenshot — which drummed up just under 1,000 likes and over 40,000 views in a little over an hour — Mara, Daboll and Schoen all watch with similarly deadpan faces.

The takeaway? Giants leadership currently has no answers as they fall to 0-3 for the first time in Daboll’s tenure as head coach.

Giants Fans React to Week 3 Loss, Trending Image

Giants supporters rushed to comment on this post from “Talkin’ Giants,” but the reactions mostly complained about the Week 3 showing.

“Wilson on the door of the end zone. First down throw it up the tunnel. Second down attempt a terrible QB keeper. Third down ball in the camera well. Fourth down, attempts to throw the field goal. This is funny at this point,” one fan wrote.

Another said: “It makes me sad seeing how far this organization has fallen. For an NFL blue blood to be this dysfunctional is absurd. The NFL should step in and get Mara/Tisch out of there for ruining one of the most valuable brands in football.

While a third replied: “Another giants coach fired [shaking my head] Mara has ran the program into the ground.”

And finally, one NYG supporter predicted that “this game seals the fate of Daboll and [offensive coordinator Mike] Kafka.” Continuing: “They both should be terminated right after the game. Schoen will be there one more year. [Jaxson] Dart SHOULDNT start at all. Don’t ruin him. This season is lost. Don’t risk turning him into another [Daniel Jones].”

Brian Daboll’s Message After Losing to Chiefs Is More of the Same

Giants fans didn’t get much from Daboll after the loss, as usual. Per ESPN NYG beat reporter Jordan Raanan, the head coach said the following.

“A lot of ‘Not good enough’ from Brian Daboll after Sunday night’s loss,” Raanan reported. Adding “[Daboll] said he’d be booing too.”

The fact that the Giants were once again “not good enough” is obvious, especially when it felt like the Chiefs gave them numerous opportunities to steal a victory. The question is, how long will Daboll continue on with Wilson as the starting quarterback?

Wilson was 18 of 32 on Sunday night, with just 160 passing yards and zero touchdowns. He also threw 2 interceptions.

“Felt pretty strongly that the offensive explosion in Dallas was fool’s gold. But didn’t expect it to be this bad tonight,” The Athletic’s Dan Duggan commented after the putrid encore attempt in Week 3. “Two of three games this season the offense has looked as bad as at any point over these past three dreadful seasons.”

That assessment is not a good sign for Wilson or Daboll’s respective futures in New York.
