The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t just lose a playoff game Sunday.

They also got called out by someone who wasn’t even on the field.

As the San Francisco 49ers closed out a stunning 23-19 Wild Card upset over the Eagles, Fred Warner immediately went to X to troll Philly.

As Yahoo Sports noted, Warner took a shot at the Eagles:

“Get y’all rest, Philly! Hahaha DUB CITY!” Warner posted on X shortly after the game.

Coming from a four-time All-Pro watching from the sideline due to injury, the post has gone viral on X with over 35k likes in just a few hours.

Fans quickly rallied behind Warner’s postgame troll of the defending champions, flooding social media with excitement and anticipation about his potential return.

“IT’S TIME, FRED. COME BACK, GOAT,” wrote @DubsBetterr.

@RomieINC echoed the sentiment, posting, “Can’t wait to have you back, baby!”

49ers Get Payback and Troll Eagles

Fred Warner wasn’t the only one who trolled the Eagles.

Nick Bosa, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 3, added his own jab by posting a photo of a dead bird on his Instagram story

The 49ers definitely had their fun after the game in a rivalry that has been going on for years.

The back-and-forth between the teams traces back to the Eagles’ 2023 NFC Championship win over the Niners.

Philadelphia’s social media used a “Rocky”-themed video and openly mocked the 49ers.

That moment snowballed into a player-driven rivalry, with A.J. Brown urging fans to troll former 49er Deebo Samuel over his postgame remarks.

Since then, the tension has lingered as there has been no love lost between these two teams.

The 49ers have waited a long time for this moment, and they’re making sure to savor every bit of it now.

What Went Wrong for the Eagles

This was a game the Eagles simply couldn’t afford to lose.

They were at home, healthy and well rested.

They faced a team flying cross-country with its entire defense depleted. And still, the Eagles found ways to come up short.

Offensively, the struggles were familiar from what most of this season has looked like.

The run game sputtered only averaging 3.9 yards per carry and A.J. Brown failed to record a catch since the first quarter.

He had multiple costly drops that ended up costing Philly big time and even got into a sideline altercation with Nick Sirianni.

Jalen Hurts only had 168 passing yards and a below average QBR of 40.8 as the Eagles failed to capitalize on good starting field position multiple times throughout the game.

It was a brutal ending to an already frustrating season, and the postgame trolling from Warner and Bosa only made the loss hurt that much more.
