The Philadelphia Eagles and star wide receiver A.J. Brown have been one of the most talked about storylines throughout the 2026 NFL offseason thus far.
Howie Roseman has been discussing potential trade options with other teams, but no offer has been good enough quite yet. He has a very high asking price when it comes to Brown and has shown no interest in dropping that price lower.
Brown, who is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL, has shown a lot of frustration on the field over the last couple of years. At one point, he was reading a book during the middle of a game on the sideline. It seems likely that parting ways could be best for both sides.
That being said, the Eagles should not trade him for cheaper than he’s worth.
Keeping that in mind, Roseman recently spoke out with a strong statement about the Brown trade situation. His words could surprise some.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman Opens Up About Potential A.J. Brown Trade
As shared by Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Roseman is still committed to the fact that Brown remains in Philadelphia.
“I understand that there’s interest in the A.J. Brown story. Unfortunately, I don’t have a home under a rock. But my answer to any question on A.J. Brown is that A.J. Brown is a member of the Eagles,” Roseman said.
“From my perspective, anything you ask me about A.J. Brown, I’m going to go right back to that answer. But I understand the interest. I put on TV and I see that there’s interest. But my answer is A.J. Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.”
While trade discussions are expected to continue, Brown could very well end up back with the Eagles in 2026. If no team is willing to offer what Roseman wants, he’s not going to get moved.
Which Teams Have Been Involved in Trade Discussions for Brown?
To this point in the offseason, there are two teams who are most heavily linked to Brown. Those two teams are the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots.
Mike Vrabel and Brown have a good relationship from their time together with the Tennessee Titans. The Patriots have been linked to Brown for two offseasons.
As for the Rams, there were reports that the team was willing to move on from Davante Adams in order to acquire Brown. They would get younger with that move and Adams has struggled with injury issues in recent years.
There are other teams who could get involved in Brown trade talks, but the Rams and Patriots are clearly the two teams to watch closely.
