Part of the NFL’s schedule has been released, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been revealed as a team that will be playing overseas in 2026. More specifically, they will travel to Paris in Week 7 to face the New Orleans Saints. When they take the field in Paris, it will be the first such NFL game there in league history.
Steelers President Art Rooney II recently shared his thoughts on his team travelling to play in France this year. He cited the opportunity to help showcase the league in a legendary place as a reason why the franchise feels honored to have been chosen to compete in this game.
The Pittsburgh Steelers Look to Win Big in Paris
The Steelers will face the Saints in Paris on Sunday, October 25th.
Here is what Rooney had to say about the Steelers being chosen to face the Saints in Paris this season:

Outside of picking two of the league’s best overall teams to match up in Paris, the NFL couldn’t have picked a better matchup for the league for this battle in Paris. The Saints will make their way from the French Quarter in New Orleans, and the Steelers are one of the most well-known brands in all of sports.
Furthermore, the Steelers should have the inside track to win this game. Looking at both teams on paper and going off of what happened last season, assuming first-ballot Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers returns for one more year, Pittsburgh should have a strong advantage here.

Again, a lot of this hinges on Rodgers returning, but the Steelers have a chance to be playoff contenders yet again this season under new head coach Mike McCarthy.
Rodgers and McCarthy go back all the way to 2006 when McCarthy was hired to be the head coach of the Green Bay Packers. The two would stay together for the next 13 seasons, with Rodgers being the starter for 11 of those years (2008-2018). Green Bay would go on to make the playoffs eight consecutive times, earn five NFC North titles, reach three NFC Championship games, and take home Super Bowl XLV. Could McCarthy help Rodgers rekindle some of his early-career magic once more?
Another reason why the Steelers can win in 2026 is that they have a very experienced roster. On both sides of the football sit proven, productive players such as Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf, future Hall of Fame defenders Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt, as well as star defensive back Jalen Ramsey. With the right coaching, this group can make a deep playoff run.
