This Saturday’s UFC Vegas 120 card has received a late lineup change, as UFC newcomer Jessie Rosas has withdrawn from the event.

Rosas, the brother of UFC bantamweight contender Raul Rosas Jr., was set to make his UFC debut on short notice in a featherweight bout against Miles Johns, but he has pulled out of the fight the night before the weigh-ins.

Gianni Vazquez Saves UFC Vegas 120 Fight

Heavy.com‘s own Marcel Dorff was the first to report that Rosas has pulled out of his fight against Johns and was replaced by Gianni Vazquez, who is making his return to the UFC on short notice.

“Another late change to Saturday’s card. Miles Johns is now taking on Gianni Vazquez at 145lbs. Jessie Rosas is out,” Dorff reported on X.

The Johns vs. Vazquez fight will be part of the preliminary card for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 120 event.

The reason for Rosa’s withdrawal from the event is not clear yet.

Gianni Vazquez Gets Another UFC Fight

Vazquez previously fought one time in the UFC in February of this year, losing a decision to Javid Basharat on short notice. The UFC then cut him after one fight, as he missed weight for his debut, even though the fight was taken on short notice, which typically grants a fighter some grace.

But the UFC does not look kindly upon fighters who miss weight, so Vazquez was cut. But after picking up a win on the regional scene via second-round knockout in May, the UFC has given Vazquez another chance to fight inside the Octagon.

Johns, though, won’t be an easy opponent, as he has far more UFC experience. Plus, he’s the bigger man, so he should have the size advantage in this bout, which takes place at featherweight.

When the betting odds drop, look for Johns to be the betting favorite to win the fight.

UFC Vegas 120 is headlined by a five-round lightweight matchup featuring top contender Mateusz Gamrot and rising star Quillan Salkilld. In the co-main event, veterans Diego Ferreira and Billy Quarantillo collide in what could be a Fight of the Night contender.
