Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark put together a historic career night as she led her team to a 113-90 victory over the Chicago Sky on Sunday.
Clark hit a career-high eight three-pointers as she scored a game-high 37 points. She started hot with a three-pointer for the Fever’s second basket of the game, and she continued to fire from all over the three-point arc with 8-12 shooting. For Clark, she made it sound like business as usual.
“I just came in with a mentality of knowing that my team needs to step up tonight,” Clark told reporters afterward, as she referenced injured star Aliyah Boston’s absence. “It hurts our team a little bit, so you have to carry a little bit more of the load.”
Clark finished with 13-24 shooting overall in addition to 10 assists, three rebounds and a steal. She came eight points shy of her single-game career high for points, 45, which she had on July 17 against the Seattle Storm.
Clark developed a reputation as a sharp-shooter at Iowa in college, and she has continued on that trajectory in the WNBA. The former No. 1 pick has a career percentage of 33.8%, and she’s shooting above that this season with a 35.4% clip.
Clark made 122 three-pointers as a rookie in 2024 at a 34.4% rate. Her numbers dipped in 2025 because of injury as she made 29 threes in 13 games, and she shot 27.9% from the arc. She has 92 three-pointers and counting this season.

Clark didn’t lean on three-pointers from any particular spot on Sunday, and here’s a look back at her hot shooting.
She buried the first one from the left-hand side for a 5-0 lead, and she hit her second from further back past the top of the key for a 23-17 lead.
Her third came on a step-back three-pointer on the right-hand side for a 36-34 lead in the second quarter. She hit another in the third quarter from the left-hand corner for a 61-58 lead.
Clark’s show continued late in the third quarter with a deep three past the key after she dribbled and pulled up to drill it. That put the Fever up 74-62.
She then hit one from the far right-hand side for an 81-68 lead in the third quarter. Clark kept it going in the fourth quarter when she took a quick pass and buried a deep three from the left-hand side for a 93-82 lead.
Later in the fourth, Clark backed up off the dribble and buried another fading three from the middle. That gave the Fever a 102-86 lead, and it marked Clark’s career high of eight threes in the process.

Besides Clark’s big night, the Fever had a big performance from guard Kelsey Mitchell, who had 30 points on 10-19 shooting and a 6-9 mark from three-point range. Mitchell also had four assists, a block, two rebounds and two steals.
Forward Makayla Thompson also hit double figures with 12 points on 6-7 shooting, and she had nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Guard Lexie Hull also reached double figures with 14 points on 6-8 shooting, and she had two rebounds and an assist.
Indiana improved to 25-14 overall and 12-8 on the road with the win at the United Center. Chicago dropped to 15-23, and the loss eliminated the Sky from postseason contention.
