The Indiana Fever will begin their 2026 WNBA season on May 9 at home, welcoming the Dallas Wings to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
It’s going to be a showdown between two of the best young teams in the league, featuring the last four first overall picks: Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd.
The Fever made the final roster cuts of the season on Wednesday. They parted ways with training camp invitees Megan McConnell and Kayana Traylor and rookie Jessica Timmons.

The Indiana Fever had a very busy offseason after the new collective bargaining agreement was signed. Caitlin Clark received a raise, while Aliyah Boston became the first player to sign an EPIC extension.
The Fever also brought back several key players from last year’s WNBA semifinals run, like Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull.
In free agency, the Fever signed several veteran free agents like Monique Billings and Myisha Hines-Allen.
As for the draft, Raven Johnson and Justine Pissott are the only two rookies to make the roster.
Here’s the Fever roster ahead of the season opener.
- Kelsey Mitchell | Guard | No. 0
- Myisha Hines-Allen | Forward | No. 2
- Raven Johnson | Guard | No. 3
- Aliyah Boston | Center | No. 7
- Sophie Cunningham | Guard | No. 8
- Lexie Hull | Guard | No. 10
- Damiris Dantas | Center | No. 12
- Justine Pissott | Forward | No. 13
- Makayla Timpson | Forward | No. 21
- Caitlin Clark | Guard | No. 22
- Monique Billings | Forward | No. 25
- Shatori Walker-Kimbrough | Guard | No. 32
- Tyasha Harris | Guard | No. 52
The Fever have a total of 13 players on their roster. Pissott is signed to a developmental player contract, which means she’s limited to just 12 games this season. The team also has one developmental player roster spot left, with Kate Martin being linked to them due to her connection to Clark.
Indiana Fever Starting Lineup
Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are expected to be part of the starting lineup under coach Stephanie White. They are the Fever’s best players, with a couple of forward positions needed.
Sophie Cunningham started in the preseason, with Lexie Hull dealing with an injury. As a possible precaution, it’s a safe bet for Cunningham to join the starting lineup.
If Monique Billings is healthy for the season opener, she’ll likely be the final starter. But if she missed time due to her ankle injury, Myisha Hines-Allen could be one of the starting forwards against her former team, the Dallas Wings.
Caitlin Clark on Season Opener vs. Dallas

Speaking to Athlon Sports’ Kyle Wood, Caitlin Clark was asked about her thoughts on the Fever’s season opener against the Wings.
“I think it should be a really great game,” Clark said. “We played in the preseason. Obviously that’s completely different, but I expect our arena to be a really loud, fun environment. There’s nothing really like a Saturday home game during the summer, so I expect a lot of loud fans, and so it should be a really great game, and I’m expecting a close one, too.”
The Fever lost to the Wings in their preseason game last week, though it’s likely going to be a more intense matchup this Saturday.
