Cameron Foster: Breaking News

Foster was removed from an appearance at Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday due to right shoulder discomfort, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Foster was charged with one run over 1.1 innings of work before being pulled. It's unclear whether Foster will be sent for an MRI, but even if his removal was precautionary, he'll likely be unavailable for at least a few days. The 27-year-old has allowed 10 runs (nine earned) with a 9:8 K:BB over nine innings covering six relief outings during his time with the Orioles this season.

The Orioles optioned Foster to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Foster made only one appearance during this most recent stint with the big club, surrendering four runs over 1.1 innings. His spot on the roster and in the bullpen will be absorbed by Albert Suarez.

The Orioles recalled Foster from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. Foster has had two previous stints with Baltimore this season, appearing in five total games and allowing five earned runs on 12 hits with a 9:6 K:BB over 7.2 innings. He's back up with the Orioles to take the bullpen spot of Josh Walker, who was optioned to Norfolk in a corresponding move.
