Enrique Freeman: Breaking News

Transferred to NBA

The Timberwolves recalled Freeman from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Monday. The move perhaps signals that Minnesota is bracing for Naz Reid (shoulder) to miss some time. Freeman is averaging 35.6 minutes per game over his last six G League games but hasn't yet made his Timberwolves debut.

Recalled to NBA

Minnesota recalled Freeman from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Tuesday. This transaction comes after he put up 26 points (10-13 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and a block across 27 minutes in Monday's 132-104 G League victory over the Westchester Knicks. With Jaden McDaniels (hip) slated to miss Tuesday's game, Freeman may have an opportunity to play, which would be his first NBA appearance of the season.

Joins Minnesota on two-way deal

Freeman agreed to a two-way contract with the Timberwolves on Friday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. A second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Freeman was limited to 22 regular-season appearances with the Pacers in 2024-25. He made a strong impression in the Summer League, however, averaging 16.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
