Carter (back) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Rams, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Carter exited the Jets' Week 15 win over the Jaguars after sustaining a back injury, and he was unable to practice all week, making it no surprise that he'll be sidelined Sunday. Isaiah Oliver is likely to serve as the Jets' top slot cornerback in Carter's stead in Week 16.
Williams (hamstring) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Rams, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Despite logging three consecutive DNPs during the Jets' week of practice, Williams still has a chance to suit up in Week 16. He would be a significant loss to the Jets' defense if he's unable to play Sunday, having recorded 35 total tackles, including 6.0 sacks, through 14 games this season. Solomon Thomas is likely to step in and start alongside Javon Kinlaw on the Jets' defensive line if Williams is sidelined Sunday.
Davis (back) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Despite following an LP/LP/FP practice regimen this week, Davis is clear for Week 16 action, while fellow RB Braelon Allen (back) is listed as questionable. At the very least, Davis will be available behind Breece Hall this weekend, but he could have most of the complementary RB reps to himself if Allen is deemed inactive ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Through 13 games this season, he's posted a 36-317-2 line on 54 targets.
Echols (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. The cornerback was estimated as a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough session. Echols missed the team's Week 15 win over the Jaguars after starting in place of Sauce Gardner, who had a hamstring issue, in the Jets' Week 14 loss to the Dolphins. With Echols, Gardner and D.J. Reed, who was dealing with a groin injury, all healthy again, New York should have a full depth chart of corners for this Sunday's game against the Rams.
