Williams was listed as limited on the Jets' practice estimate Tuesday, but he was able to upgrade to full participation Wednesday. He should start at linebacker Friday versus the Dolphins.
Williams has been dealing with a knee injury on and off this season, but he's been able to play in all 10 of their contests, so his status Tuesday isn't much of a concern. The linebacker has compiled 31 tackles and a pass deflection over the last four games.
Williams has posted double-digit tackle totals in half of the Jets' 10 games this season. He also has at least one tackle for loss in all but one game. The 27-year-old linebacker needs nine tackles to crack triple digits in that category for the third straight season.
As he has all season, Williams was all over the field Sunday and registered double-digit tackles for the fourth time this season. He's recorded at least nine tackles in all but one game this year and has played in at least 96 percent of defensive snaps in all seven contests. He's tied with C.J. Mosley with the most tackles on the team (71) and should continue to get heavily involved in Week 9 against the Chargers on Monday night.
