Leki Fotu: Breaking News

Fotu and the Giants agreed on a one-year contract Wednesday, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports. Fotu will head to New York after recording 11 total tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, over eight regular-season contests with the Texans and Raiders last year. The 28-year-old will provide the Giants with an additional veteran option at defensive tackle in 2026.

The Raiders waived Fotu on Tuesday. Fotu played in six games for the Raiders, totalling eight tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks. The defensive tackle will now be placed on waivers, and if he clears will become a free agent.

Fotu (foot) recorded three total tackles (zero solo) in Saturday's 20-10 preseason loss to the Cardinals. Fotu was able to play for the first time during the preseason after nursing a right foot injury for a series of weeks. The defensive tackle logged 16 defensive snaps in the contest, and he appears to be a full go ahead of the Raiders' regular-season opener Sept. 7 on the road versus the Patriots.
