The Jets listed Hall with a hamstring injury last week, beginning with a missed practice Wednesday, but he progressed to full participation by Friday and ended up handling his normal workload in a loss to the Falcons after officially being listed as questionable. It isn't yet clear if the ankle injury this week represents more of a threat to Hall's gameday availability. The Jets host the Texans on Sunday, with Dalvin Cook likely looking at a large role as he starter if Hall can't play.

Listed with ankle injury

The Jets listed Hall with a hamstring injury last week, beginning with a missed practice Wednesday, but he progressed to full participation by Friday and ended up handling his normal workload in a loss to the Falcons after officially being listed as questionable. It isn't yet clear if the ankle injury this week represents more of a threat to Hall's gameday availability. The Jets host the Texans on Sunday, with Dalvin Cook likely looking at a large role as he starter if Hall can't play.
Doesn't do much with 19 touches

With defenses stacking the box and the offensive line failing to open up holes, Hall has been bottled up on the ground over the past two months. Since rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos in Week 5, Hall has just 198 rushing yards on 83 carries (2.4 YPC) and one rushing touchdown. Hall has made up for his struggles on the ground with contributions as a pass catcher over that seven-game span, catching 36 of 44 targets for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He didn't seem bothered by the hamstring injury that limited his practice participation leading up to Sunday's loss, and Hall hasn't had fewer than 14 touches in a game since Week 4, so he should continue to see plenty of volume in Week 14 against the Texans.
Gets green light for Week 13 game

Hall had been listed as questionable heading into the weekend after the hamstring injury rendered him a limited participant in the Jets' first two Week 13 practice sessions, but much of the concern about his status was erased once he practiced fully Friday. Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is also active after being listed as questionable heading into Sunday, but Hall should continue to lead the way in terms of snaps and touches out of the Jets backfield so long as the game remains competitive. While drawing more focus from defenses in recent weeks, Hall has struggled to just 2.6 yards per carry over his last six games, but he's seen ample involvement in the passing game during that stretch (30-261-2 receiving line on 36 targets) to help make up for some of his shortcomings as a rusher.
Expected to suit up vs. Falcons

Hall is officially listed as questionable for Week 13, despite coming off a full practice session Friday. He appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's contest, as does veteran backup Dalvin Cook (shoulder), who is also listed as questionable. Official word on the statuses of Hall and Cook will arrive when the Jets release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
Questionable after full practice

The Jets' top three running backs are all questionable, as Hall's joined by Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and Israel Abanikanda (illness) on the injury report. Of the three, Hall is the only one that mustered a full practice Friday, suggesting he's in good position to handle his usual heavy workload as the Jets' lead back, barring a setback. Confirmation on Hall's availability will come approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Another limited session

With another limited session under his belt, Hall will presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Falcons without an injury designation. Assuming he's available this weekend, Hall will be in line to continue to lead the Jets backfield. If Hall ends up limited or sits out versus Atlanta, however, Dalvin Cook would be first in line for increased snaps and touches.
Dealing with hamstring issue

Hall is facing practice limitations for the first time since September, when he was still getting back to full strength from the torn ACL he suffered his rookie season. He hasn't found much room to run of late, instead relying on pass-catching production and/or touchdowns to keep his fantasy value afloat. Hall showed no obvious sign of injury in this past Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins, as he took 14 touches for 49 yards while playing two-thirds of the snaps on offense. He's finished in the range of 60-to-70 percent snap shares six games in a row, and he'll likely be somewhere around that range Sunday against the Falcons if he isn't too bothered by his hamstring.
Seven catches with Boyle at QB

New York's offense was no better on the whole in Tim Boyle's first start at quarterback after Zach Wilson's benching, but on a positive note for Hall, Boyle's desire to get the ball out more quickly resulted in Hall tying his season high in targets. New York's banged up and ineffective offensive line isn't opening up any holes, so Hall has been held to fewer than 30 rushing yards in each of the past three games. Hall's seven carries marked his lowest total since Week 4 with the Jets playing catch up, but he's likely to see more volume on the ground in Week 13 against the Falcons while continuing to play a three-down role in New York's backfield.
Scores 50-yard receiving TD

After a slow start for both offenses, Hall used his rare blend of elusiveness and speed to turn a simple check-down grab into a 50-yard touchdown catch to put the Jets up 7-3. That looked like all the offense the Jets would muster as Hall was stymied on the ground and Zach Wilson couldn't get anything going in the passing game, but a late burst from the passing attack helped the Jets force overtime and eventually win. It's encouraging that the team is finding ways to get Hall the ball in the passing game when the run isn't working, but the offensive line's inability to consistently open up holes remains a concern as Hall gets ready to face the Chargers in Week 9.
