On Wednesday, October 14, Major League Baseball announced a piece of Matt Olson news, which highlights his dominance at first base.

Olson is a 3X GG Award winner, and he captured MLB’s most illustrious defensive award in 2025.

Olson also remains atop the fielding leaderboard for first basemen in terms of Outs Above Average, which is a testament to how good a first baseman is at stretching for the ball to record extra outs.
