Yankees Star Facing Backlash From MLB Fans For Performance Against Marlins

On Saturday night, the New York Yankees played the Miami Marlins (at home) in the Bronx.

The Yankees won by a score of 9-7, and they will look to go for the sweep on Sunday afternoon.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. had zero hits and two strikeouts in five at-bats.

Chisholm Jr.’s Career

Chisholm Jr. spent part of five seasons with the Marlins before getting traded to the Yankees in 2024.

He is coming off a year where he made the All-Star Game while batting .242 with 31 home runs, 80 RBI’s, 75 runs and 31 stolen bases in 130 games.

Chisholm Jr. has been named to two All-Star Games, and he also helped the Yankees reach the World Series in 2024.

He will be a free agent this winter.

Looking At The Yankees

The Yankees are off to an incredible start to the 2026 season with a 7-1 record in eight games.

Following their series with the Marlins, the Yankees will remain at home to host the Athletics on April 7.

Last season, they lost to the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS.
