The Yankees wrote (via X): “Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves: • Recalled INF/OF Max Schuemann (#30) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. • Placed INF Ryan McMahon on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to 8/20) with a left thumb sprain.”

Schuemann was picked in the 20th round of the 2018 MLB Draft.
He is in the middle of his first year with the Yankees (after two seasons on the Athletics).
