The alleged Kevin Durant burner saga has now reached the locker room.

As screenshots from the @gethigher77 account continue circulating online, two players close to Durant, Devin Booker and Draymond Green, have publicly addressed the situation.

The account in question allegedly featured messages criticizing current and former teammates, including Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook and Alperen Sengun. One post claimed, “The Suns are my team when we lose and Books team when we win,” while another compared Booker and former Suns coach Frank Vogel to dictators. Other screenshots referenced Curry’s role in Golden State’s offense and Westbrook’s historic triple-double season.

Durant has not confirmed ownership of the account. None of the screenshots have been independently verified.

Devin Booker Downplays Allegations

Booker addressed the controversy before the Phoenix Suns faced the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 19 at Moody Center in Austin, AZ Central reports.

“I don’t know,” Booker said. “I was just with him All-Star weekend. Nothing was said about it. You don’t know what’s true and what’s not nowadays.”

Booker added that he does not invest much emotion into social media narratives.

“I don’t pay too much (attention) to it,” he said. “Even if it is true, I understand there’s trolls nowadays. That’s what a lot of social media is. It’s trolling and it’s a good time. It’s a fun time. I don’t take any of it too personal.”

The timing of the screenshots coincided with NBA All-Star Weekend, where video surfaced of Durant walking around the court with his phone in hand, appearing tense before tipoff. The clips quickly went viral as speculation intensified.

Draymond Green Questions Locker Room Impact

Green, Durant’s former teammate with the Golden State Warriors, offered a more pointed take on The Draymond Show.

“I personally would address it publicly if it’s a public thing and taking on the life that it’s taken. But to each his own,” Green said. “But I’ll tell you what, if it is I don’t know how you walk back into practice.”

Green continued, describing the potential awkwardness.

“I mean walking back into practice after the break almost you walk into the locker room it probably feel like a Key & Peele sketch. Just like a little awkward like what do you do? Uh what’s up bro? I don’t know. Yeah, but anyway, these are alleged. It’s alleged to be KD’s burner account. Maybe one day we’ll know the truth. Maybe we already know the truth.”

The controversy has grown beyond player reactions. Fans recently launched KDFiles, a live website cataloging every confirmed and alleged burner reference tied to Durant, complete with searchable names and contextual breakdowns.

Analyst Bill Simmons called the situation unprecedented on The Bill Simmons Podcast, stating, “I don’t know if we’ve ever been in a situation like this,” referring to alleged private commentary about teammates surfacing publicly before games.

Durant faced burner scrutiny once before in 2017 after mistakenly replying to a critic from his verified account. This time, the fallout involves current locker rooms, former champions and a fan-built database tracking every mention.

For now, Booker and Green represent the most prominent voices to address the situation publicly, while Durant has yet to comment.
