The 11 triples that they connected on during the first quarter was an NBA record for the most made 3s in the first quarter of any playoff game, ever.
A plethora of different Knicks players contributed to the record including Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride, Landry Shamet, Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns.
It was an unbelievably impressive shooting performance by the Knicks, and it propelled them to a commanding 43-24 lead heading into the second quarter of the contest.

New York didn’t cool off after the first quarter, either. The Knicks went on to knock down seven more 3s in the second quarter to bring their first-half total to 18, which tied an NBA record.
Thanks to their impressive output from long range, the Knicks took a 81-57 lead into the halftime locker room and they never looked back. Frankly, the game was never competitive.
New York cruised to victory and a sweep of the Sixers, who will now enter another offseason facing some major organizational questions.
When all was said and done, the Knicks made a total of 25 3-pointers against Philadelphia, which tied the NBA playoff record for the most made 3s in a playoff game. The 144 pointes they finished with represented a franchise postseason record.
The Knicks will now advance to the Eastern Conference finals for the second consecutive season. There, they’ll face off against the winner of the series between the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers.
With the way that the Knicks shot the ball in the series against Philadelphia, they’ll likely be favored to win the next series against either of those teams.
