One Denver Broncos star is entering the spotlight in a different way this offseason thanks to a new, high-profile relationship.

Broncos cornerback Riley Moss and Denver sports personality Gianna Girardi went Instagram official over the last week — him first, actually — with a series of posts to their social media accounts.

“Staycation,” Moss wrote on his official Instagram account on May 7, along with a series of photos, including 1 of Girardi on a balcony drinking wine at Populus, a boutique hotel in Denver

“A little bit of life lately,” Girardi wrote on her official Instagram account on Wednesday. Her photo reel included several pictures of her and Moss together.

Both Moss and Girardi gave the same response to each other’s posts — a pair of heart emojis.

Girardi is the niece of 4-time World Series champion and former New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi. Her uncle played in the majors for 15 seasons, including 3 for the Rockies from 1993 to 1995 — the franchise’s 1st 3 seasons. Joe Girardi won 3 World Series titles as a catcher for the Yankees from 1996 to 1999, then added another World Series as their manager in 2009.

Gianna Girardi has been the in-game host for Colorado Rockies home games for the last 2 seasons and also reports on the Denver Nuggets.

Famous Friends Comment on New Relationship

Moss and Girardi’s famous friends were quick to weigh in on the new relationship in the comments.

“Cute!!!” wrote Izzy Smoke Nix, the wife of Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.

“In his insta boyfriend era,” Broncos kicker Wil Lutz wrote.

“Whatta stud,” Broncos safety Brandon Jones wrote.

Moss, 26, was a 3rd round pick by the Broncos in the 2023 NFL draft and has developed into an elite starter over the last 2 seasons.

Riley Moss Predicted to Land Massive Payday

Relationships — especially high-profile ones — can be pretty expensive. Thank goodness Moss seems on the verge of landing the 1st massive payday of his career.

Headed into the final season of his 4-year, $5.7 million rookie contract in 2026, Moss could very well garner $20 million per year on the open market.

The DNVR Denver Broncos Podcast predicted the Broncos might try to beat Moss to the punch and not let him get to free agency with a 3-year, $55 million contract extension.

From DNVR: “For Riley, the projection is 3 years, $55 million … that’s probably about the ceiling right now. He’s certainly not getting $20 million per year. Even $18 million is a little too close to that, so we’re erring on the high side. If these guys hit the open market next year, they’re getting this kind of money. You do get a little bit of a discount when you sign them early, so there’s no reason it wouldn’t happen here.”

Moss was one of the NFL’s top earners in the league’s annual performance-based incentives program following the 2025 season. It’s the bonus system the league uses to pay players with low salaries who play high snap counts.

Moss scored a $1.136 million bonus after starting all 17 games in 2025. It ranked Moss No. 12 among all NFL players who received bonuses, with Chicago Bears cornerback Nahson Wright coming in 1st with a $1.441 million bonus.
