Jones (pectoral) finished the 2025 regular season with 78 tackles (43 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and 12 passes defensed, including one interception, seven passes defensed, including one interception and one fumble recovery across 14 regular-season games. Jones was having a solid sixth season before suffering a pectoral injury in a Week 15 win over the Packers that required surgery to repair and landed him on injured reserve. The 27-year-old safety was unable to play in the Broncos' two playoff contests, but it appears he was a candidate to return to action if Denver made it to Super Bowl LX. Assuming he is back to full health next season, Jones should return to his starting free safety position as a key member of the Broncos' top-tier defense. The Texas product is entering the final year of his three-year deal with the Broncos before becoming a free agent in 2027.

Brandon Jones: Breaking News
Out at least two more games
Jones (pectoral) could be a candidate to return to action for Super Bowl LX, if the Broncos advance to that point in the postseason, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Jones was placed on IR in mid-December and subsequently underwent surgery to repair a torn pec suffered Week 15 versus the Packers. While he could be a candidate to return early February, Jones will remain sidelined for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Bills or the AFC Championship Game, leaving P.J. Locke (leg) to continue filling in as Denver's starting free safety.
Placed on IR
Jones (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official website reports. Jones suffered a pectoral injury in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Packers, and he will now be forced to miss the final three games of the regular season and the team's first postseason contest. In his absence, Devon Key and P.J. Locke are the top candidates to take over as the team's primary free safety for the stretch run, beginning in Week 16 against the Jaguars.
