Jon Jones Blasts Daniel Cormier for 'ALF Reality' Behavior

Jon Jones recently unloaded on Daniel Cormier for how he conducted himself on ALF Reality. Jones made it clear that he approached the show as an opportunity to make peace. However, that did not appear to happen.

The longtime UFC rivals were announced as opposing coaches on the series. Like The Ultimate Fighter, Jones and Cormier would be interacting quite a bit throughout the process.

Despite having cordial interactions at UFC events in recent years, it does not seem as though Jones and Cormier will mend fences. ‘Bones’ criticized ‘DC’ for his lack of professionalism on set and claimed that he refused to make peace with him.

“[Cormier] was an [expletive], he didn’t really connect with any of the fighters here. He’s just an [expletive]. I tried to make peace with him many times, and he made it clear that he wants to be enemies for the rest of his life because how lucrative it is,” Jones told Red Corner MMA.  “There was moments when we got to laugh, but for the most part, he’s a [expletive].”

Jon Jones Says Experience with Daniel Cormier Was Not Enjoyable

Jon Jones also said that his experience with Daniel Cormier on ALF Reality was very different from his previous experience. During his previous experience, he spent time with Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz, and Yoel Romero.

Speaking with Red Corner MMA, Jones confirmed that his previous experience was far more enjoyable.

“I would say the biggest difference is getting to enjoy working with awesome fighters with awesome personalities,” Jones said. “It was so much fun, it was light-hearted, it was cool. We made good memories, we hung out with each other.”

Based on the previous season, it seems like ALF Reality wanted to take the show in a different direction. Jones didn’t have any animosity with anyone in the previous season. Perhaps the showrunners felt that having his biggest rival coaching would result in a more entertaining season.

Jones Accuses Cormier of Unprofessionalism

Jones was clearly not too pleased with his experience interacting with and coaching against Cormier. He emphasized that ‘DC’ still holds a personal grudge after what unfolded in their two UFC bouts. ‘Bones’ won both fights, but his second victory was later overturned to a no-contest.

Jones accused Cormier of being unprofessional toward his own team and staff. According to Jones, ‘DC’ was very distant even when they weren’t filming any content for the series.

“You look at the way [Cormier] treats his staff members. He brought like ten yes-men out with him and literally, ‘Go get me my water.’ Where’s my this? Why is that this? He bosses guys around,” Jones said. “The times we weren’t filming, he wasn’t very sociable with the people on set. He’s just a [expletive]. I think people that really work with him know that.”

Although a fight inside the octagon seems unlikely, considering Cormier’s age, ‘DC’ has express interest in a RAF wrestling match. Depending on the success of ALF Reality, as well as Jones’ UFC plan, a wrestling match could be a possibility.
