Giancarlo Aulino is a sports writer who covers UFC for Heavy.com.
Before joining Heavy, Giancarlo was an MMA news writer and freelance interviewer for Sportskeeda.com, writing about the latest in the UFC and PFL, and speaking to some of the biggest names past and present.
In addition to Heavy, Giancarlo also provides freelance coverage to SportsBoom.com and Fighters Only Magazine.
Giancarlo has also worked in radio, producing sports content for Toronto radio station VIBE 105.5FM, where he had the privilege of interviewing many respected athletes, broadcasters, and celebrities, including Marlon Wayans, Trish Stratus, Donovan Bailey, Mike Goldberg, and Mitch Marner.
Beyond MMA coverage, Giancarlo is an experienced soccer journalist, having covered Toronto FC, from 2018-2024, and Inter Toronto FC (formerly York United FC), since their inception, as a full-season reporter.
Education
Giancarlo has a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Communication Studies from York University, where he graduated in 2018.
