Nardi (1-0) struck out one in a perfect fifth inning Monday to record the win in a 10-4 victory over Atlanta. Eury Perez was lifted after four-plus innings and 76 pitches with the Marlins ahead 6-4, but Nardi was able to shut down the opposition when he entered the game with runners on first and second and nobody out. The southpaw has looked good to begin 2026 after missing all of 2025 due to back woes, posting a 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB over five innings with a win and two holds in six appearances.

Andrew Nardi: Breaking News
Nabs hold Friday
Nardi gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless two-third of an inning to record his first hold of the season in Friday's win over the Rockies. Entering the game to begin the eighth inning and protect a 2-1 lead, Nardi did give up a single to Kyle Karros but fanned Braxton Fulford and Ryan Ritter before ceding the mound to Anthony Bender. It was Nardi's first big-league game action since August 2024, as back trouble cost him all of 2025, but it looks like the 27-year-old will be the top left-handed setup option in the Marlins' bullpen to kick off the current campaign.
Ready for spring debut
Nardi (finger) is slated to make his Grapefruit League debut Tuesday against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. Nardi didn't pitch at all in 2025 due to a lingering back problem, but he's since moved past that injury and has instead been slowed down by a blood blister on his pitching hand during spring training. That issue now appears to be behind him, however, as Nardi has been deemed ready for game action after throwing multiple live batting practice sessions over the last few weeks. Though the southpaw reliever looks to be healthy again, the Marlins could still elect to option Nardi to Triple-A Jacksonville before the end of camp to provide him with extra time to shake off the rust coming off a season lost to injury.
