Andrew Nardi: Breaking News

The Marlins transferred Nardi (ribcage) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday. Nardi's move to the 60-day IL is merely procedural, as Marlins manager Clayton McCullough relayed Sunday that the lefty reliever was expected to miss around three months after recently suffering a left ribcage stress reaction. Right-hander Tyler Zuber was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville and will take over Nardi's spot on the 40-man roster.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that Nardi is expected to miss about three months after landing on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a stress reaction in his left ribcage, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. Nardi could be back with the Marlins for the final stretch of the season, but any problems during his rehab program could result in him missing the rest of the campaign. The rib injury is another tough setback on the health front for Nardi, who missed the entire 2025 season due to back problems.

The Marlins placed Nardi on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a left ribcage stress reaction, retroactive to Thursday. Nardi gave up one run in 1.1 innings and took the loss during his last appearance Wednesday, and he appears to have picked up a rib injury in the process. Marlins manager Clayton McCullough relayed to reporters that Nardi has been battling through the injury for a while and his IL stint is expected to last "much longer" than the 15-day minimum, per Ely Sussman of Fish on First. The Marlins will bring William Kempner up from Triple-A Jacksonville to round out the bullpen.
