Brandon Nimmo: Breaking News

Nimmo (hamstring) will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game versus the Yankees. Nimmo tweaked his hamstring this past Friday and has not started a game in the outfield since then, occupying the DH spot twice and sitting out the other two contests. The Rangers could continue to ease Nimmo back into things until he feels back to 100 percent.

Nimmo (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees. The 33-year-old has been battling a lingering hamstring injury and returned to the lineup Sunday after missing one game, but he's now on the bench after Monday's team off day. It hasn't been reported that Nimmo has suffered a setback, but it seems likely that he's still managing the injury in some form.

Nimmo (hamstring) is batting leadoff as the designated hitter Sunday against the Tigers. The veteran outfielder was held out of Saturday's lineup after exiting Friday due to a nagging hamstring issue, but he'll return for the series finale in a non-defensive role. The Rangers have a scheduled team day off Monday, and Nimmo's quick return to the lineup rather than stacking days off indicates the injury isn't a serious concern.
