Peralta didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Yankees, allowing three runs on two hits and six walks in five innings. He struck out four. Peralta really labored Sunday, tossing just 44 of his 96 pitches for strikes while tying a career worst in walks allowed. Control has proven to be a persistent problem for the 29-year-old right-hander, who has issued multiple free passes in eight of his 10 starts on the year. Peralta has yet to work into the seventh inning this year, but he's pitched at least five frames in nine outings en route to producing a steady 3.31 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 54:25 K:BB over 54.1 innings. He's set to face the division-rival Marlins his next time out.

Freddy Peralta: Breaking News
Earns third win Tuesday
Peralta (3-3) earned the win Tuesday against the Tigers, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings. Peralta gave up both of his runs in the second inning, including a solo homer by Dillon Dingler, but quickly settled in afterward and dominated the rest of the outing. The right-hander closed by retiring 12 of the final 13 batters he faced. Peralta continues to provide steady length, now going at least five innings in eight of his nine starts this season. After going six consecutive starts without a win, he's now picked up victories in back-to-back outings. Peralta owns a 3.10 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 50:19 K:BB across 49.1 innings and is scheduled for a difficult matchup against the Yankees his next time out.
Goes five scoreless innings
Peralta (2-3) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out one over five scoreless innings to earn the win over the Rockies on Wednesday. Peralta's start was pushed back a day due to Tuesday's rainout. He threw 56 of 91 pitches for strikes in this outing, and the Mets built up enough of the lead to overcome the bullpen's struggles. This was Peralta's first win since Opening Day, and it's his first scoreless outing as a Met. He now has a 3.12 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 43:18 K:BB across 43.1 innings over eight starts this season. Peralta's next start is projected to come at home versus the Tigers, which could be the first in a two-start week for the right-hander.
