Peralta (4-4) earned the win Wednesday over the Mariners, allowing a run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six. Peralta's day got off to an ominous start, as he surrendered a home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the bottom of the first inning. However, he'd stop the damage there, blanking Seattle over his final five frames en route to his fourth win this season. It's also Peralta's first quality start in his last four outings -- he had posted a subpar 4.37 ERA across 22.2 innings in his prior four starts. Overall, Peralta's ERA sits at 3.38 with a 1.31 WHIP and 74:30 K:BB across 72 innings this season. He's currently lined up to face the Cardinals at home his next time out.

Freddy Peralta: Breaking News
No-decision vs. Miami
Peralta did not factor into Friday's decision against the Marlins, allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out five across 4.2 innings. Peralta retired the first six batters he faced in Friday's start, but he proceeded to give up four runs over the next three frames, though two were unearned due to a fielding error by Mark Vientos in the fifth inning. It was just the second time in 12 starts that Peralta failed to complete five innings, and he now sits at a 3.55 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 68:28 K:BB across 66 innings. His next start is slated for next week against the Mariners in Seattle.
Mixed results in fourth loss
Peralta (3-4) took the loss Saturday against the Marlins, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out nine. The 29-year-old right-hander provided his longest outing of the season so far, fanning a season-high nine as well. However, it was the first time that Peralta gave up more than three runs since his Opening Day start against the Pirates, and he did surrender a season-worst eight knocks. Peralta is set to carry a healthy 3.52 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 63:27 K:BB across 61.1 innings into a rematch with Miami next week, this time back at Citi Field in Queens.
