Nathan Eovaldi: Breaking News

Eovaldi (5-6) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Astros. He allowed five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six. He also gave up two home runs. Eovaldi allowed homers to Jeremy Pena (solo shot in the second inning) and Isaac Paredes (two-run dinger in the sixth), making it the third start this season in which he's allowed multiple homers. The long ball has been an issue for Eovaldi, who has given up 13 homers across 68.2 innings and 11 starts in 2026 while posting a 1.7 HR/9. This outing also snapped a streak of four straight quality starts for Eovaldi, who will aim to bounce back in his next scheduled outing against the Cardinals on the road next week.

Eovaldi (5-5) allowed three runs on five hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out six over seven innings to take the loss versus the Angels on Saturday. Eovaldi has eaten innings lately -- he's covered at least seven frames in his last four starts, allowing just four runs across 29 innings in that span. The veteran right-hander got off to a bumpy start in 2026, but he's mostly turned things around, though he saw his three-start winning streak snapped Saturday. He's at a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 61:14 K:BB through 61.2 innings across 10 starts this season. Eovaldi is lined up to make his next start at home versus the Astros.

Eovaldi (5-4) earned the win Sunday against the Astros, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out eight over seven scoreless innings. Eovaldi was dominant once again, throwing 64 of his 94 pitches for strikes while generating an impressive 19 whiffs against Houston's lineup. The veteran right-hander has now allowed one earned run or fewer in each of his last three outings while going at least seven innings in all three. Amid an inconsistent Rangers rotation, Eovaldi continues to serve as one of the club's few stable options, carrying a 3.62 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 9.1 K/9 across nine starts this season. He will look to continue that success in his next scheduled start against the Angels.
