The Panthers signed Tyus to a reserve/future contract Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Tyus initially signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent last April. He spent some time with Seattle's practice squad before finding work with Carolina's practice squad in early October. Tyus didn't get elevated for any games this season, but he'll now have a chance to show the Panthers what he can do during upcoming offseason activities.
Tyus signed with the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. The Ohio product was dropped from Seattle's practice squad in late August but has now found a new home in Carolina. Tyus has yet to appear in an NFL game after rushing 237 times for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2024.
The Seahawks cut Tyus from the practice squad Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. The move makes room on the Seahawks' practice squad for linebacker Chris Paul. Tyus failed to make Seattle's 53-man roster at the end of training camp after logging 21 carries for 55 yards and one catch (on two targets) for two yards across three preseason games. The undrafted rookie will look to catch on with another team's practice squad.
