Noah Fant: Everything you need to know

Fant is set to sign a two-year contract with the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Fant is unlikely to have much fantasy value, joining a team that signed Juwan Johnson to a three-year extension last offseason. Johnson figures to get most of the playing time in passing situations, with Fant more of a factor on early downs and in multi-TE sets. Anything more than 2-to-3 targets per game likely would depend on Johnson missing time.

Fant caught one pass for five yards in Sunday's loss to the Browns, but he coughed up that reception, and that fumble was returned for a touchdown for the third time this season. Fant's fumble was the perfect cap to a truly disappointing season, one where he caught 34 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The last of those scores came Week 9 against the Bears. He enters the offseason as a free agent after signing a one-year, $2.75 million deal with the Bengals in July.

Fant was held without a catch on one target in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, while playing 16 offensive snaps. Fant has been playing through an ankle injury, and he's taken a backseat to Mike Gesicki on passing downs. He hasn't had a multi-catch game since Week 11 against the Steelers.
