Fresh off a sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago Cubs have been one of the best teams in MLB since the All-Star break.
In what was supposed to be an off day for Chicago, it will now play a make-up game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday afternoon (at Wrigley Field).
Before the single game between the Cubs and Blue Jays, Chicago revealed its lineup for the contest, which features a slight Seiya Suzuki change.

In probably a wise move by manager Craig Counsell, Seiya Suzuki will DH on Thursday, and it will be a chance for him to get off his feet and just focus on batting.

David Peterson is getting the start, and Miguel Amaya will form a battery with Peterson. Pete Crow-Armstrong is back in center field after his two homer performance on Wednesday in the Cubs’ 7-6 win over LA.
Michael Conforto is in RF in place of Seiya Suzuki, and Michael Busch is batting third for the Cubbies.

Seiya Suzuki is having another quality season for the Chicago Cubs offensively, as he’s usually the 2-hole hitter daily for Craig Counsell.
Across 98 games played, Suzuki is batting .273 with 19 home runs, 64 RBI, and an OPS+ of 135. He’s posted an OPS+ of 120 or higher in each of the last four seasons, which is very productive.
As for the Cubs, they look to continue creeping closer towards the Milwaukee Brewers for first place in the NL Central, and they are looking like a real World Series threat after a strong MLB trade deadline.
