Senzatela (6-0) allowed a run on two hits and struck out one over one inning, earning the win after taking a blown save versus the Cubs on Wednesday. All three of Senzatela's blown saves have come over his last four appearances, a span in which he's allowed five runs (four earned) in 5.1 innings. The right-hander's move to the bullpen has still largely been successful, but the cracks are starting to show with his recent outings. He's at a 2.11 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 32:11 K:BB through 38.1 innings over 20 appearances, all in relief. Senzatela has a .245 BABIP, suggesting there's a fair amount of luck fueling his surface stats, though his 7.5 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 are both improvements on his marks from last year. He is set to continue competing for closing duties in the absence of Victor Vodnik (elbow).

Antonio Senzatela: Breaking News
Blows save Friday
Senzatela blew the save in Friday's 9-7 extra-inning loss to the Brewers, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and no walks with four strikeouts over 1.2 innings. Senzatela was aiming for a two-inning save after striking out the side in the eighth, but he unraveled for four runs in the ninth and departed with a 5-3 deficit. The 31-year-old entered June with a case for the Rockies' closer role, but he's now been charged with blown saves in back-to-back appearances to open the month. For the year, he still owns an impressive 1.98 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB across 36.1 innings while tallying three saves and two holds.
Notches third save
Senzatela gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his third save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks. He struck out one. While it was his third save of the year in three chances, it was the veteran right-hander's first in which he didn't need to pitch more than one inning. Senzatela's stuff is playing up in impressive fashion in short relief -- his four-seam fastball topped out at 98.8 mph Saturday -- and while he'd made 145 career starts for the Rockies over nine MLB seasons coming into 2026, he may have found a new home as a high-leverage arm. With Victor Vodnik having been scored upon in five of his last eight appearances, Senzatela's making a compelling case to take over as Colorado's closer. Through 28.1 innings this season, all in relief, he's produced a 1.27 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB.
