Fedde did not factor into the decision Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out one over five innings. Working behind opener Brandon Eisert, Fedde entered with two outs and two runners aboard in the first inning after Eisert had already surrendered two runs. The veteran right-hander settled in nicely and helped keep the White Sox in the game, though he did allow a solo homer to Matt Olson in the third inning. Another run crossed the plate later in the frame when Fedde committed a fielding error. He has now allowed two or fewer earned runs in three straight outings and he now sports a 4.69 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 40:24 K:BB across 63.1 innings. Fedde will face a difficult test in his next scheduled start against the Dodgers.

Erick Fedde: Breaking News
Following opener Tuesday
Fedde will pitch in a bulk relief role Tuesday against Atlanta, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports. Fedde picked up his first win of the season in a traditional start last week versus the Twins, but he will follow opener Brandon Eisert on Tuesday. The right-handed Fedde has collected a 4.94 ERA and 36:24 K:BB over 58.1 frames for the White Sox this season.
Blanks Twins for first win
Fedde (1-5) picked up the win in Wednesday's 8-0 victory over the Twins, allowing two hits and a walk over five scoreless innings. He struck out two. The veteran right-hander was lifted after only 61 pitches (40 strikes) with the White Sox ahead 4-0, but Grant Taylor and Chris Murphy worked two innings each to complete the combined shutout. It's Fedde's first win since Aug. 9 of last season when he was with Atlanta, and it's just the second time in six outings since the beginning of May that he's been able to last at least five innings. Fedde will carry a 4.94 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 36:24 K:BB through 58.1 innings on the year into his next trip to the mound, which is set to come at home next week against his former Atlanta teammates.
