Ruiz went 0-for-1 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases in Sunday's win over the Rays. The 27-year-old outfielder began the game on the bench but pinch hit for Owen Caissie in the seventh inning and remained in the contest in right field. Ruiz isn't seeing consistent playing time and sports a .196/.300/.471 slash line through just 60 plate appearances since he joined the Marlins' roster in late April, but he has slugged three homers and stolen 11 bags in 12 attempts while adding six RBI and 14 runs.

Esteury Ruiz: Breaking News
Swats third homer
Ruiz went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Nationals. With southpaw Andrew Alvarez on the mound for Washington, Ruiz got the start in center field and took him deep in the second inning to open the scoring, but the 27-year-old was replaced by Jakob Marsee in the sixth inning once Alvarez was out of the game. Ruiz is batting just .191 (9-for-47) so far as a Marlin, but seven of his nine hits have gone for extra bases -- including three homers -- and he's stolen eight bags in nine attempts, giving him some appeal as a bargain DFS option on days when he's in the lineup.
Productive night at plate in win
Ruiz went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mets. Ruiz doubled in the bottom of the second inning and manufactured the Marlins' first run of the game by stealing third base before scoring on a groundout. It was Ruiz's eighth stolen base of the season. He then tripled and scored in the fourth, accounting for both of Miami's runs in the low-scoring affair. The speedy outfielder is hitting just .216 with a .231 on-base percentage but has a team-high .514 slugging percentage in 39 trips to the plate this season. He has three doubles, one triple and two homers to go with five RBI, 10 runs scored and the eight steals.
