Isaac Paredes: Breaking News
Hits two-run shot Thursday
Paredes went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Thursday's win over the Rangers. Paredes returned to the starting lineup after being used a pinch-hitter Wednesday and made his presence felt. This was his first homer since May 19, and Paredes now has six on the year. The third baseman is hitting .227 with a .702 OPS, three homers, four doubles, seven RBI and six runs scored across 25 games this month.
Not in Wednesday's lineup
Paredes is not in the Astros' starting lineup against the Rangers on Wednesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports. Paredes will get a breather after going 0-for-8 over the first two games of the series against Texas. Brice Matthews and Braden Shewmake will start at second and third base, respectively, in Wednesday's game.
