Patrick Naughton: Everything you need to know

Naughton has been sidelined at Triple-A Memphis since early April due to elbow trouble, and he's now officially opted to undergo surgery for the third time in the last two years. A timeline for his return will emerge after his procedure, though there's a strong chance that he will end up missing most, if not all, of the remaining 2026 schedule.

Imaging revealed damage to the UCL in Naughton's left elbow Saturday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports. Naughton will seek a second opinion before determining his next steps, but the 29-year-old lefty could be facing another elbow surgery after missing most of 2024 and all of 2025 due to a pair of elbow procedures.

Naughton suffered a left arm injury during an appearance with Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, Kyle Reis of MLB.com reports. Naughton immediately grabbed his pitching arm after delivering a pitch and walked off the field with the trainer. There's no word yet on the details, but it looked like another serious arm injury for the southpaw. Naughton missed all of 2025 and most of 2024 due to a pair of elbow surgeries.
