Aireontae Ersery: Everything you need to know

Ersery (thumb) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Ersery logged a limited practice session Wednesday, but he now appears to have gained full clearance for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Colts. The rookie second-round pick suffered a broken hand versus Las Vegas in Week 16, but barring any setbacks, expect Ersery to draw his usual start at left tackle versus Indianapolis on Sunday.

However, he has a chance to return to action this Sunday against the Colts with a limited practice session under his belt to begin the week. If Ersery is able to suit up, it'll be a boost to Houston's offensive line, which could be without starting tackle Trent Brown (ankle/knee).

The 2025 second-round pick from Minnesota underwent hand surgery earlier in the week and is now in line to miss his first game of the season Saturday, While Ersery is sidelined for the Week 17 contest, expect Blake Fisher to start at left tackle.
