Tampa Bay signed Greene to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Greene spent the 2025 regular season on the Buccaneers' practice squad. Though he was never elevated to make his regular-season debut, Greene will now get a chance to stick around in Tampa Bay and continue his development this offseason.
The Buccaneers signed Greene to their practice squad Thursday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports. A position change to wide receiver wasn't enough to earn Greene a spot on Tampa Bay's final 53-man roster, but he'll keep running routes on the practice squad. The Bucs are relatively deep at wideout, so it could take multiple injuries for Greene to have a chance at seeing regular-season action in 2025.
Greene was waived Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Greene showcased his versatility in the preseason, as the former West Virginia quarterback scored a receiving touchdown in the preseason finale and also contributed on special teams. That wasn't enough to make Tampa Bay's 53-man roster, but Greene could land on the practice squad after passing through waivers.
