The Browns claimed Chatman off waivers from the Giants on Friday. Chatman played 22 games for the Giants over the previous two seasons, recording 24 tackles and 1.0 sacks. The 25-year-old will compete for a depth role on Cleveland's stout defensive line.
The Browns signed Wilson as an undrafted free agent Friday. Wilson ended his collegiate career at Baylor, where he totaled 44 receptions for 591 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games. The wide receiver also fielded 30 kickoff returns for 705 yards during the 2025 season. The Browns selected both KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in the 2026 NFL Draft, meaning any path to playing time for Wilson is likely to come through the special-teams unit as a returner.
The Browns signed Harden as an undrafted free agent Friday. Harden spent three years at UCLA before transferring to SMU in 2025. The running back appeared in 13 games for the Mustangs, producing 787 yards and nine touchdowns on 171 carries and recording 19 receptions for 99 yards and one additional score. Similar to fellow undrafted free agent Davon Booth, it will likely be very difficult for Harden to earn a spot in a running back room dominated by accomplished young incumbent talent like Quinshon Judkins (ankle) and Dylan Sampson.
The Browns signed Booth as an undrafted free agent Friday. Booth appeared in 12 games for Mississippi State in 2025, accumulating 553 yards and seven touchdowns on 136 carries. The running back also added 165 receiving yards on 15 receptions, finding the end zone twice through the air. The Browns' running back room is led by young talents Quinshon Judkins (ankle) and Dylan Sampson, likely making any chance for meaningful carries unlikely for Booth for the foreseeable future.
The Browns placed Owusu-Koramoah on the reserve/PUP list Friday. Owusu-Koramoah sustained a serious neck injury last October against the Ravens. The linebacker's NFL future was called into question due to the nature of the injury, but a move to the reserve/PUP list instead of a release is a good sign that his playing days may not be over quite yet. No timeline has been given for Owusu-Koramoah's potential return, however, so his career may still hang in the balance.
Head coach Todd Monken said Friday that a leader has yet to emerge in the quarterback competition between Watson and Shedeur Sanders, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Watson and Sanders rotated first-team opportunities during Cleveland's three-day voluntary minicamp, with Watson usually first in line for drills but Sanders taking more total reps. Monken has maintained that he would like to name a starting quarterback before the Browns open training camp in late July, but the coach said that it's too early in the process to make that decision at this point.
Jones (knee) has restructured his contract for the 2026 season to receive $1.5 million, including $1.145 million in guaranteed money, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Jones was originally slated to make $3.7 million, but his salary will be slashed by more than half. He played only three games in 2025 before tearing his LCL, but he should be ready to begin the 2026 campaign.
