Is Pick ‘n Save Open on Christmas Day 2016?

Pick ‘n Save grocery stores are not open on Christmas Day.

They are generally only open on Christmas Eve.

Pick ‘n Save said on Facebook that the stores will not reopen until December 26, the day after Christmas. The grocery store chain wrote on the social media site:

Happy holidays from #MyPicknSave! Our stores will remain open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve for all your last-minute shopping needs. We will be closed all day Christmas Day, but will resume normal store hours on December 26.

In fact, the only two major holidays that Pick ‘n Save normally shuts its doors for are Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.

Pick ‘n Save is a grocery store chain that has a series of stores throughout Wisconsin. You can find a store locator map here. The chain calls itself the “premier supermarket chain in Wisconsin,” and it has 93 stores throughout that state. It is owned by Roundy’s Supermarkets and started in Wisconsin.

On normal shopping days, the Pick ‘n Save stores are normally open from 6 a.m. (or 7 a.m.) depending on the store to 10 p.m.

Be careful of store hours that you see when you google the chain’s name because they are often not updated to indicate Christmas Day and don’t necessarily mean the store is open.

Some other grocery stores prevalent in areas with Pick ‘n Saves, like Meijer, are also closed on Christmas Day. If you are desperate to pick up an item, there are a few other stores that are open.

For example, maybe you can find what you need at Walgreen’s, if it’s something smaller, as those stories are generally open on Christmas Day. You should always check by calling an individual store first to be sure. However, here’s more information on Walgreen’s closures for the holidays:
