6. Playset Mode and Toybox Mode Will Be Making Its Return
Two familiar modes from the 1.0 edition will be making its return. Playset Mode will place players in several open worlds that will test each Playsets cast with completing story missions. Certain characters have the ability to cross over into other franchises worlds through the use of “Cross Over Tokens.”
The Toybox Mode, which lets players produce their own adventures and worlds within a sandbox environment, will be even larger than its last iteration. Some of the Disney characters that can only be seen in this mode includes Tinker Bell, Donald Duck, Hiro Hamada & Baymax (Big Hero 6), Eve (WALL-E) and Sultan (Aladdin).
7. Two Special Disney Infinity Figurines Will Be Released at a Later Date
Later on in 2014, two special new figurines will be released for the game – a Crystal Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse and Aladdin’s Jasmine. New figure packs will be released after the game’s initial launch.
8. A Special 12GB PS3 Model Will Be Sold with the Game’s Starter Pack
A special PS3 bundle will be sold with the game upon launch – the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0) PS3 12GB Bundle. This set will come with a 12GB PS3, one DualShock 3 controller and the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0) Starter Pack. This Starter Pack will come with The Avenger’s Playset, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, two Toy Box Game Discs, a Disney Infinity Base and a digital download card.
9. There Will Be Three Separate Bundle Options
The 2.0 edition of Disney Infinity will launch on September 23, 2014 in several Starter Pack options. You can purchase the game in three different ways – the Video Game Starter Pack, the Collector’s Edition and the Toy Box Starter Edition. 10. Disney’s Star Wars Franchise Might Be Up Next for the Franchise
As for what Disney brand will be applied to the 3rd iteration of Disney Infinity, it may just take place in “a galaxy far, far away.” Executive producer John Vignocchi alluded to the presence of Star Wars by stating that “2015 is not so far, far away anymore, is it?”
