WATCH: President Obama’s Full Speech on Gun Control

President Barack Obama gave an emotional speech on gun control Tuesday, bringing himself to tears while talking about the young victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

The president was speaking to explain a set of new executive orders he will issue to try to prevent mass shootings and other gun violence. Obama was introduced by Mark Barden, the father of Daniel Barden, one of the first graders killed in the Newtown shooting.

“Until we have a Congress that’s in line with the majority of Americans, there are actions within my legal authority that we can take to help reduce gun violence and save more lives -– actions that protect our rights and our kids,” Obama said.
