Bridges posted 27 points (12-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one block in 44 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 win over Utah. Bridges shot a season-best 70.6 percent from the field, tallying at least 20 points for the third time in the past five games. After a slow start to the season, Bridges has rounded into form, averaging 21.2 points, 1.4 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in a whopping 41.0 minutes per game over the past month.

Latest Knicks News
Mikal Bridges : Highly efficient in win
Bridges posted 27 points (12-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one block in 44 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 win over Utah. Bridges shot a season-best 70.6 percent from the field, tallying at least 20 points for the third time in the past five games. After a slow start to the season, Bridges has rounded into form, averaging 21.2 points, 1.4 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in a whopping 41.0 minutes per game over the past month.
Precious Achiuwa : Scores 12 points in win
Achiuwa recorded 12 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one block and one steal across 13 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 victory over Utah. Achiuwa scored 12 points in 13 minutes, a productive outing despite continuing to play a limited role off the bench. Karl-Anthony Towns is having his best season in recent memory, leaving very little meat on the bone when it comes to playing time at the center position. At this point, it would require Towns to miss time for Achiuwa to have any chance of playing more than about 20 minutes on any given night.
Cameron Payne : Flirts with double-double in start
Payne registered eight points (2-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, nine assists and three steals over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 win over the Jazz. Payne was a late addition to the starting lineup, replacing Miles McBride (hamstring) who himself was slated to start in place of Jalen Brunson (calf). Although it was a quiet offensive night for Payne, he was productive in other areas, helping the Knicks to a comfortable victory. Should Brunson and McBride be forced to the sideline again, look for Payne to once again shift into the opening unit.
Miles McBride : Won’t play Wednesday vs. Utah
McBride (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of Wednesday's game against the Jazz. Originally announced to start due to the absence of Jalen Brunson (calf), McBride was a late scratch from New York's lineup due to a hamstring injury, and he has been subsequently ruled out for the rest of the contest. It's unclear whether McBride's injury is serious enough for him to be in jeopardy of missing Friday's contest against the Thunder. Tyler Kolek and Landry Shamet will see increased minutes off the bench for the rest of Wednesday's game due to the absences of McBride and Brunson.
Miles McBride : Working through hamstring injury
McBride (hamstring) is questionable to play in Wednesday's game against the Jazz. McBride was set to make his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Wednesday due to Jalen Brunson being ruled out with a calf injury. However, McBride was a late scratch from the starting five in favor of Cameron Payne due to left hamstring tightness, and it's unclear whether McBride will be able to play. Landry Shamet and Tyler Kolek should see increased playing time off the bench for as long as McBride is sidelined.
Cameron Payne : Last-second starter
Payne will start Wednesday's game against Utah, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. The Knicks' initial starting lineup featured Miles McBride at the point guard position, but the team will turn to Payne instead. It's unclear if McBride will be available off the bench, but Payne should see plenty of action considering Jalen Brunson (calf) is sidelined. Payne is averaging 10.3 points, 3.4 assists and 1.7 rebounds in games during which he logs at least 15 minutes.
Miles McBride : Not starting after all
McBride will come off the bench against the Jazz on Wednesday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. McBride was initially announced to be in the Knicks' starting lineup Wednesday due to the absence of Jalen Brunson (calf). However, head coach Tom Thibodeau has made a last-minute change to put Cameron Payne in the starting five rather than McBride. McBride hasn't joined the Knicks bench to start the game, and it's unclear if he's available to play, per James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.
Jalen Brunson : Ruled out Wednesday
Brunson (calf) is out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Brunson will miss his first game of the season due to a calf injury Wednesday, and his next chance to suit up will come during Friday's showdown in Oklahoma City. Miles McBride will step into New York's starting lineup against Utah for the first time this season. In 14 games as a starter in 2023-24, McBride averaged 17.9 points, 4.1 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 43.3 minutes.
