Ward (personal) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Ward was away from the 49ers for the past four games while mourning the loss of his one-year-old daughter. He returned to practice Wednesday, and it appears the seventh-year corner should be available for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Cowing (concussion) was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday's injury report, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Cowing suffered a concussion during the 49ers' Week 11 loss to the Seahawks, and he was unable to pass the league's five-step protocols in time for Week 12 against the Packers. His ability to practice in full Wednesday is a sign that he's progressing through the protocols, though he'll need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play against the Bills on Sunday.
Purdy (shoulder) officially was limited at Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. However, Purdy attempted just two passes during the session, per Inman At the same time he said Purdy would have a cap on his reps to begin Week 13 prep, coach Kyle Shanahan also relayed that the 49ers would determine later how much the quarterback would throw, according to Lindsey Pallares of the team's official site. Overall, it amounted to a short toss to Kyle Juszczyk during RB drills and another such throw to a member of the equipment staff, which was similar to last Wednesday, when he also was listed as limited. It's unclear how much on-field work San Francisco will log the rest of the week around the Thanksgiving holiday, but it's likely that Friday's practice will be key for Purdy's chances to miss just one game as a result of right shoulder soreness.
Warner said Wednesday that he fractured a bone in his ankle in the 49ers' Week 4 win over the Patriots and has been playing through the injury ever since, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Despite Warner's acknowledgement of the fractured ankle, the All-Pro linebacker has been absent from the 49ers' injury report since Week 6. He's appeared in all 11 of San Francisco's games this season, recording 84 total tackles, six passes defensed, two interceptions and four forced fumbles. Warner is expected to continue playing through injury when the 49ers travel to Buffalo in Week 13.
Greenlaw (Achilles) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday. The 27-year-old linebacker has yet to play this season after tearing his Achilles in San Francisco's Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Chiefs. However, he'll return to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday, as coach Kyle Shanahan told Lindsey Pallares of the team's official site, and he now will have 21 days to be activated to the active roster or else remain on IR. Greenlaw has a chance to play in the Week 13 matchup against the Bills if he's activated before Sunday.
Lenoir (knee) will not practice Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Lenoir knocked knees with another player last Sunday against the Packers and underwent an MRI on the knee Monday. The results of that MRI aren't yet known, but Lenoir's starting his practice week with a DNP. Isaac Yiadom and Rock Ya-Sin are the Niners' lone healthy cornerbacks at the moment.
Williams (ankle) will not practice Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Williams missed the 49ers' Week 12 loss to the Packers. Jaylon Moore got the start at left tackle in his place and would likely handle those duties again Sunday in Buffalo if Williams is unable to play.
