The Brewers signed Leonard to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Leonard spent the 2025 season at Triple-A Gwinnett in the Atlanta organization, slashing .239/.304/.435 with 20 homers and 11 steals. The 25-year-old infielder has yet to play in the majors and will likely begin the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Nashville.

Leonard was cut loose by Detroit on Thursday but didn't have to wait very long for his next opportunity, as he'll now provide organizational infield depth at Triple-A Gwinnett. The 24-year-old slashed .263/.326/.455 with 282 plate appearances in Triple-A last season and is still waiting to make his MLB debut.
The Tigers reassigned Leonard to minor-league camp Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. Leonard went 3-for-15 with an RBI and two runs scored over eight Grapefruit League games. The 24-year-old infielder will now begin the 2025 season at Triple-A Toledo and could make a push for the majors sometime this summer.
