Gilbert did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the A's, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three. While Gilbert was ultimately able to limit the damage after giving up two runs in the first inning, the right-hander needed 89 pitches to record just 12 outs, as he failed to complete five frames for the first time this year. Through six starts this season, Gilbert sports a 4.36 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB across 33 innings. He'll look to turn things around in his next outing, tentatively lined up for next week in Minnesota.

Logan Gilbert: Breaking News
Fans seven in loss
Gilbert (1-3) took the loss Friday versus the Rangers, allowing two runs on seven hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out seven over 5.1 innings. Gilbert had a decent game, settling in well after allowing a leadoff home run to Brandon Nimmo in the first inning. He fell short of a third straight quality start, but Gilbert tied his season high for strikeouts, which he's achieved in three of five starts so far. He's at a 4.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 32:5 K:BB across 29 innings. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Athletics.
Strikes out seven to earn first win
Gilbert (1-2) earned the win against the Astros on Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts across seven innings. Gilbert had a 5.40 ERA through his first three starts of the season but was able to get in the win column with a gem Sunday. The right-hander's only mistake was a solo homer allowed to Yainer Diaz in the top of the fifth inning. Gilbert needed just 85 pitches to breeze through seven frames and has lowered his ERA to 4.18 with a 25:4 K:BB across 23.2 innings. Gilbert is in line to next take the mound Friday at home against the Rangers.
