Seranthony Domínguez: Everything you need to know

Dominguez collected his 10th save of the season during the White Sox's 6-5 win over the Royals on Wednesday, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out one batter in the ninth inning. Dominguez got two of the first three batters he faced to ground out, but his first pitch to Bobby Witt was smacked to left-center field for a two-run home run to cut the Royals' deficit to one run. Kansas City attempted to keep the pressure on by bringing in Jac Caglianone to pinch hit, but Dominguez shut the door by striking out Caglianone on six pitches. This marks the third time this season that Dominguez has given up at least two earned runs in a game, but he still did enough to earn his 10th save of the season, which is tied for fifth in Major League Baseball.

Dominguez secured the save Sunday against the Mariners, allowing no runs on one hit and two walks in the ninth inning. He struck out one. Dominguez made things interesting Sunday, loading the bases and putting the possible go-ahead run in scoring position, but he held on with a game-ending groundout. The right-hander has been solid as Chicago's closer, posting a 3.45 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB over 15.2 innings while converting nine of his 11 save opportunities. Dominguez has secured six consecutive save chances as well.

Dominguez earned the save in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Padres, striking out one and retiring both batters he faced in the ninth inning. Dominguez entered with a four-run lead and the bases loaded after Grant Taylor struggled to open the ninth inning, and he slammed the door on just six pitches. Since blowing a save April 16, the 31-year-old has converted five straight opportunities while keeping opponents off the board in seven of eight outings during that span. For the year, he's 8-for-10 in save chances with a 3.95 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB across 13.2 innings.
