Senator Robert “Bob” Menendez of New Jersey is engaged to Alicia Mucci of Paramus, New Jersey, reports NJ.com. The senior senator is said to have proposed to Mucci in the Capitol Rotunda just prior to the couple attending a holiday party for members of Congress at the White House.

The New York City native, Menendez, was previously married for 29 years to Jane Jacobsen. The couple had two children, Alicia, a news reporter and Robert. Menedez married Jacobsen in 1976 and divorced in 2005.

Menendez and Mucci have been together for about a year. One of Menendez’s friends, Donald Scarinci, told North Jersey, that Mucci had stood by Menendez during his difficult scandal filled year. They reportedly met at a fundraiser.

She lives in Paramus, New Jersey, and manages real estate investments for a living. According to her Facebook page, around 2009, she was working as bartender at the Stony Hill Inn. Mucci was born in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.

She is widowed with 5 children, Robert Jr., Michael, Denise, Settimo and Janna Mucci.


4. Her Late Husband Was a Well-Known Jersey Restauranteur

Her late-husband, Robert, was the owner operator of The Old Time Sizzlin’ Steakhouse in Hackensack, New Jersey. He passed away on May 12, 2012 at the age of 69. The couple were married in January 2009.
